Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
