Large-scale Russian Attacks Cut Power Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have faced increased attacks in the past few days

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to blackouts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were hurt while inhabitants in eastern districts were left without electricity and encountered disruption to drinking water, as stated by local authorities.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, as reported by regional authorities.

Russian forces has intensified attacks on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while officials has demanded "concrete actions" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the G7 - in delivering air defence systems and enforcing penalties," was stated in a public message.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty missiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were striving to fix the damage.

A series of attacks struck electrical systems and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Several of the people hurt in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by local officials.

Local officials said the city endured heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child was killed and several individuals were injured.

The assaults come after evenings of air raids in the region, sections of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to spot.

Government officials told journalists that Russia was deliberately attempting to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated utility staff and government agencies were preparing for additional strikes.
